Roz brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of both operations and customer-facing systems. Many of you may know Roz from their work with us back in 2016, when our product was still known as OMMPOS. Not only was Roz instrumental in writing the original documentation for the software, but they’ve also been a trusted voice in helping users get the most out of the system.

With a strong background in operations, system implementation, and training, Roz excels at helping teams and customers navigate complex tools with clarity and confidence. Throughout their career, Roz has led large-scale system rollouts, developed streamlined processes, and trained teams to succeed with new technology — all with a thoughtful, people-centric approach.

Here at Marijuana Software, Roz will be focusing on sales and customer support, serving as a key resource to help our customers get the most out of our software — from onboarding and training to ongoing guidance and product insights. Their deep institutional knowledge of our platform, combined with a passion for supportive, effective problem solving, makes them a perfect fit for this role.

update! The surgery was a complete success. Kathleen is in the hospital recovering. Thank you very much for your prayers, positive thoughts and messages. Kathleen will be recovering in the hospital over the weekend but then should be able to return home. Thank you all!

Portland, OR -- The new year begins a new registration requirement for the sale of Hemp products in the state. Starting January 1, all cannabinoid hemp products sold to consumers in Oregon - whether sold online or in brick-and-mortar locations - are to be registered with the OLCC. While legislatively required under House Bill 4121, the registry additionally benefits consumers by making available clear information about the hemp products they buy.

The requirement to list within the Hemp Registry applies to all cannabinoid hemp items intended for human or animal consumption or use, such as:

• Gummies
• Beverages
• Tinctures
• Capsules
• Vapes and smokable flower

Topical products like lotions and soaps, as well as hemp grain and fiber products that do not contain cannabinoids (i.e. CBD, THC) are excluded from the registration requirements. There is a fee to register, but with some exceptions, similar products can be registered with one fee.

Enforcement actions related to the Hemp Registry will be delayed until June 1, 2026, giving manufacturers, distributors and retailers to adapt. This limited grace period is designed to help businesses understand the new requirements, complete product registrations, and ensure proper labeling before enforcement begins. While the OLCC will not penalize businesses solely for failing to register products before June 1, 2026, it will continue enforcing existing state laws. We’ve released a quick update today to improve pricing accuracy and fix a recent issue:

✅ Smart Pricing Fix
Smart Pricing was previously being applied even when the setting was turned off. This has been corrected.

• When Smart Pricing is ON, the POS now automatically gives customers the best price based on your tiered flower pricing.

• When Smart Pricing is OFF, prices are calculated strictly by gram price as intended.

✅ Profit Margin Fix
We’ve also fixed a calculation issue on the “Add Jar” page — profit margins now display accurately again.
